I have spoken with a lot of people about their dreams. What they want to build, where they want to go, what they want to create. And most of the time, when you ask someone why they are doing something, you get the surface answer. The polished one. The one they have rehearsed. So when I asked Mike King why he really wrote the Lord of Water trilogy, I was curious what would come back. He did not hesitate for long.
