Today, I’m holding five physical copies of Book I. Three are going to friends who believed in this work from the start. One is heading to a reader who’s committed to giving me a testimonial. And one is mine to savour.
People often ask what it takes to publish a book. The honest answer? It’s not one process—it’s four woven into one. Writing. Designing. Publishing. Each demands something different.
The writing came first—pouring the Lord of Water’s story onto the page, chapter by chapter. Then came the design phase: crafting the cover, building the brand identity, making sure every visual element honoured the narrative. Then the editing—volume by volume, chapter by chapter, hunting for every imperfection. And finally, the publishing itself.
It’s been exhilarating and tough. There were ups and downs. But towards the end, when that manuscript became a real book in my hands, it became genuinely fulfilling.
Now we’re entering the distribution phase—the full marketing push. Whoops! That’s 5 isn’t it. 🤪
Book I is complete. Book II is calling.
If you’re on a publishing journey yourself, I want you to know: it’s worth sticking with.
I’m in the Team Publish Facebook group, and I’m here to help anyone navigating this path. If your work is moral, ethical, and aimed at good—whether fiction or nonfiction—I want to support you through it.
This milestone is mine. The next one could be yours.
